Safety

Safety should always be the main priority in any interactions.

Identity

You do not need to enter your phone number or email, nor make them public. You make these choices in your Profile. However, organizational users may wish to make their contact info public.

Your user name does not have to correspond to your real name, if you are concerned with privacy. You can tell your real-life friends your user name so they can find you and give you testimonials.

Other users

Be careful which information you provide in messages to other users.

Testimonials cannot be guaranteed to be genuine. There is no guarantee another user is on the Sunshine Coast or even in Canada.

Meeting in person

For interactions that require in-person meeting, take precautions before meeting someone for the first time. Meet them in a public place, tell or bring a friend. Do not proceed if you are at all uncomfortable. You are under no obligation to proceed with any interaction. If any safety concern arises, call the police.
